This great music app needs no introduction, and remains one of the most popular apps on the Android Market. However this list wouldn’t be complete without a run through Pandora’s features. Pandora is basically a “smart radio” app that can generate playlists based on an artist or song of your choice. As the playlist runs through the songs you can mark songs you like or dislike and Pandora will drift the music to suit your preferences. You can’t actually play a specific track of your choice, which is why it’s more like a radio than a music library. You can also tell it avoid playing a specific song completely.

Pandora Radio is a wonderful app to take advantage of your Droid X’s multitasking capabilities. Seed the app with your favorite artist or song and just forget about it while leaving it running in the background. The interface is simple and elegant. Creating and saving multiple playlists based on different artists, songs, or genres is possible and you can call up any of these playlists whenever you like. The app currently doesn’t work outside the US at the moment, so it may not come in handy when you’re traveling internationally. Otherwise, this app is a flawless music app for your Droid X.
