Springpad is an intelligent productivity application that lets you capture ideas and notes on your Droid X. You can create arbitrary categories of notes. Say, for instance you’re browsing a bookstore and see a book that you’d later like to purchase through Amazon. You can simply pull up Springpad and scan the barcode for the book. Springpad will automatically create a new note for you with the book title and other details as well as present a link to purchase the book. This integration of notes and tasks with online services makes this Droid X app an excellent general-purpose productivity tool.

In addition to the ability to add photos to your notes, this Droid X app also lets you search for relevant items in your locality based on your current GPS location. Your notes can also be transferred easily to other apps through the integrated Android share feature. You can sync all your notes online for free as well, which acts as an excellent backup solution and also lets you add notes via a web-interface and have them sync automatically with your Droid X. This app isn’t for everyone, but anyone who is comfortable with a general-purpose bucket for all notes will find this an invaluable addition to their portfolio of Droid X apps.
